Dan and Daniela are not a couple.  They are both united through their love of Brett, who has played an important but different role in each of their lives.

Daniela and Brett run Yautepec, a fine art gallery promoting upcoming artists in Mexico City.  She, a native, understands the Mexican soul, while Brett, a student of international relations, is diplomatic in his choice of artists.

Dan is a globe-trotting assistant to a renowned photographer by day, bartender extraordinaire on the Lower East Side by night.  He dreams of money-making iPhone applications in the twilight of the mornings.
